I’m Dan Mutty, Founder & Owner of Altum

Starting over ten years ago, I’ve spent many a night and weekend freelancing as a digital marketing consultant. Now operating as an official company, Altum Marketing LLC, has become my full-time outlet for providing website, content, and digital marketing services.

In late 2009, I read a job description that mentioned the book “Inbound Marketing”, written by the founders of HubSpot, and was inspired to read it. The book fundamentally changed how I thought about marketing and altered the path I would take as an early-career marketing professional. At a time when data-driven marketing and SEO were still widely under-adopted, they became the foundation of my marketing skill set. Following the path of a “T” shaped marketer, I deeply specialized in inbound marketing, analytics and optimization for several years before broadening my skill set to other areas of digital marketing.

I’ve been continuously learning and developing my set of skills and experiences for over a decade. With 5 years each spent working at marketing agencies as well as in-house roles at large enterprises in the technology space, I’ve produced measurable success across a variety of organizations and industries. I work with B2B and B2C businesses across a multitude of industries, from agencies and small business to global enterprises.

Adventurer & Thrill Seeker

When I’m not marketing, I’m typically planning my next adventure. I’m obsessed with traveling to new places and exploring the natural beauty the planet has to offer. Some people are afraid of heights, but I seek them out. Looking down from high above the world gives me a sense of satisfaction, a rush of adrenaline, and puts a smile on my face. With that, it should be no surprise that I love; skiing and hiking mountain peaks, cliff jumping into water, climbing things I probably shouldn’t, and journeying to find the next breath-taking vista. This part of my life is what inspired the Altum brand. Life is short, I believe we should all work hard and play harder.
